We took to the red carpet at the SAMA’s this past weekend to ask the craziest questions we’ve always wanted to ask our favourite local celebs. The results were, erm, entertaining and a little scary.
Who would you rather take fashion advice from, Miley Cyrus or Lady Gaga?
Cornell Cruise: Miley Cyrus! She’s so hot right now. I would definitely take her home to mom.
Tamara Day: Miley Cyrus! They are both pretty out there but when Miley cleans up it’s beautiful, when she’s all simple with that little cropped hair. She’s over the top but she’s nothing like Gaga over the top. I don’t want to wear a meat dress! Although, she is pretty stunning in her sleek long hair and in the Applause video.
Bonang: Lady Gaga! I think she’s more experimental and she knows a little more about the world of fashion. Miley is still young , she will get there.
Jen Su: Definitely Lady Gaga! I love the tall platforms; I love her outrageous sense of dress.
Who would win the award for craziest selfie?
Michael Lowman: I saw Tamara Day taking a selfie with one of those big canon cameras without the flip screen looking back and so if she nailed it then she gets the award in my book.
Matthew Mole: A guy who takes a selfie of a selfie! I wanna meet that man. Also, I’ll try get one with some of the guys from Gangs of Ballet, maybe we can win it together.
Nonhle Thema: I would win it. I take a lot of safe selfies but I’ve taken one in the bathroom before. Not that you could see the toilet or anything, just the shower. Bonang and Tamara Day take safe selfies but I think Khanyi Mbau would take a crazy selfie.
What’s the one award that’s not being given out but that you would win hands down?
Good Luck: Going out into the middle of the desert and recording an album award! We would win it every time, hands down. There would be no competition for like 50 years. Also, we’d probably win a best mood in the morning award! We just hardly ever sleep.
Gangs of Ballet: That’s kind of on the spot, we would win the how to answer an answer on the spot award! No, the nicest guys in the world award! No, The surfing champ of the world award!
Mi Casa: Probably biggest campaign of the year. We gonna win this!
Mafikizolo: Craziest dressed award. I always dress weird. Even tonight!
If you could take a bicycle trip with Steve Hofmeyr, anywhere in the country, where would it be to?
Nakhane Toure: Nowhere! I can’t stand that man. Tell him to put the red balloons down, no one cares.
Kurt Darren: Vietnam. For one, there’s plenty of bicycles and we have lots to talk about so I think we’ll have some fun. Actually, anywhere but Everest because that would be a tough ride. I would love to take Elton John with too.
Loyiso Bala: I would take him back to Ventersdorp. I would take a bicycle trip with Bieber around South Africa though, show him the real hood.
Would you rather star in Games of Thrones or Bold and the Beautiful?
Nakhane Toure: I haven’t watched Game of Thrones so it would have to be Bold and the Beautiful. I would really love to star in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” though, that’s my favourite show on TV.
Toya De Lazy: Games of Thrones. Bold and the Beautiful has that old taste and Game of Thrones has a nice vintage touch. I would star as the midget.
Danny K: Definitely Games of Thrones! I love Games of Thrones. I would love to be that short dude, he’s my hero!
