Johannesburg - Actress Zakeeya Patel is set to return to the land of soapies with a new role on SABC 3's Isidingo.
Zakeeya was recently announced as one of the new faces on the hit SABC 3 soapie and is said to play the role of no-nonsense journalist and news anchor Samantha Sharma.
Samantha will apparently be a co-anchor with Frank Xavier on the soapies fictional news show, Hardline
“It was quite intimidating to go onto set with this established ‘family’ of actors. Everyone’s been so warm. The other day, while we were waiting to get paid, I, literally, shouted (in excitement): ‘I’m so happy to be here’, to two of the actors,” she told Tonight of her first days on set.
Fans can look forward to seeing Zakeeya make her debut on the 16th of June.
