Selimathunzi producers have confirmed to The Juice that Zizo Beda will be leaving the show in the next few months.

A few months ago the rumour mill went into overdrive, when it emerged that the much-loved TV personality was leaving the show. At the time Zizo herself denied the rumours.

But now it has emerged that the rumours are in fact true. But there’s no drama attached to the situation.

“Zizo would like to pursue other TV interests within the SABC and has outgrown her role on Selimathunzi,” the show’s creative director, Joshua Modau said. 

He added that Zizo’s contract has been extended for six months.

Joshua explained that Zizo is also getting married in December and has grown into a woman, so naturally her focus has changed.

But don’t panic, because Zizo will still be on the show for the next six months.

And, we have it on good authority that she’s expected to be kept on by the SABC on another show that is “better suited” for her at this stage.
