Zola is selling his CDs from his car

Zola's star seems to have faded. The singer once had a great music career and was adored by millions of South Africans for the work he was doing on his Zola 7 show. But the star is now facing some difficult times as he is forced to sell his music from his car.

He told Sunday Sun: "I haven't got any deal yet. But at this point in time, I carry my CDs wherever I get booked to perform. After my performance I open my boot and sell my music. It's tough because sometimes I don't even sell that many."

Although some might find this as a downgrade, Zola said he sees this as a business opportunity. "I'm also hoping that my old fans will support me in these difficult days. They may contact me direct or via Facebook, Twitter or Whatsapp to buy my album," he told the paper.

He urged other musicians to be careful. "Young stars out there should ask their lawyers to check their contracts. What happened to me was a hard lesson. And when I figured out how they were exploiting me, people went to the media and crushed my good name."
