Johannesburg - It must be hard being Zuraida Jardine. Not only do you have to constantly put on a happy face when out in public, but you also have to deal with "friends" who are totes pretending.
Luckily for Zuraida, she has a safe haven in social media service, Snapchat, and it seems like she's been having a bit of fun with it.
The TV personality has been using Snapchat to give her followers a peek into the "fake" life she's having to live.
After going to the hairdresser, have her brows done and a pedi, Zuraida explained the reason behind all of her beautifying.
"I feel like I need to be honest with you," she says. "The reason I'm doing all this work is because I'm going to one of those children's birthday parties where all the moms are so pretentious and act like everything is natural. I now play their game."
"No matter what you look, they will go' oh my gosh, you've lost so much weight! You look so skinny'" she adds.
And to prove her point, she even secretly recorded a conversation she had with one of her "friends," where the "friend" exclaims that Zuraida looks "so good" and asks her if she's lost weight (Apparently Zuraida got asked the same thing by two more people at the party).
And just in case you're wondering, the "friend" took a selfie with Zuraida and they're totes "besties" now!
