Basetsana Kumalo recovering well at home

Johannesburg- Basetsana Kumalo was officially discharged from hospital after suffering from a broken ankle a week ago. 

And the news comes just in time for the Easter weekend. 

Bassie slipped and fell in the rain after watching her son perform at a school concert, which left her with a broken and dislocated ankle. 

The media mogul has been in hospital ever since where she underwent surgery. 

Even though Bassie won't be able to drive or fly and will be immobile for the next three months, she is naturally happy to be back home with her family. 

Taking to social media recently Bassie thanked hospital staff for taking such good care of her, and expressed how good it felt to be home.

After all home is where the heart is!  

What a beautiful sunset...... Home sweet home! Got discharged today and my deepest gratitude to my Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Heidi Steck, you are simply amazing and your sense of humour was remedy in itself. To all the medical staff at Milpark hospital, the wonderful ladies who cleaned my room, the lady who brought me tea with a smile all the time, ngiyabonga to each and everyone of you! May the Lord remember each and everyone of you by name and may His face shine upon you always.
