Black Coffee speeding case postponed to January

Johannesburg – DJ Black Coffee will have to wait until January to hear his fate. This after the Roodepoort Magistrates court on Wednesday postponed his case until 5 January 2016.

The internationally renowned DJ finally made his appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, this after confusion with his docket earlier in the week.

The DJ faces speeding charges after he was arrested on Christmas eve for going 200km/h in a 120km/h zone. He was taken to the Florida Police Station on Johannesburg’s west rand before being released on R800 bail (more on that here).

After several hours of waiting, the DJ, dressed in a smart suit and accompanied by his wife Enhle, made his court appearance in courtroom C. The state confirmed that its investigations against Black Coffee have been finalised and, after making a brief appearance, the court postponed the DJ's case until the 5th of January 2016.
