Buhle Mkhize hits back at Malusi Gigaba's statement

Johannesburg- There seems to be no end in sight to the drama between Buhle Mkhize, Malusi Gigaba and Norma Gigaba.

On Tuesday the Minister of Home Affairs for the first time addressed swirling affair rumours, which surfaced a few months ago through a social media statement.

Claims of an alleged affair between Malusi and fashionista, Buhle first came to light a few months ago, when a social media feud between Buhle and Norma went viral. (Find that story here)

The Twitter war saw both women hurling insults at each other, which caused quite a storm on the social media platform. The matter resurfaced this week after Buhle wrote an open letter claiming that she had an affair with Malusi, and that he tried to buy her silence. (Read the letter here

Malusi responded to the open letter with a statement on Instagram, which has since been deleted. In his statement Malusi labelled Buhle's claims as "defamation," and "an unhealthy obsession with my family." (Read more here)

Buhle returned to Instagram with a post stating that she really just wants this entire debacle to come to an end.

"Okay I'm done, I stand by my 'novel' that I published yesterday regardless of what the world thinks about me. To those questioning the existance of my marriage, why? Because I have no happy Instagram pictures to prove it? Whatever and NO my husband is not stupid but supportive because I admitted my guilt," she wrote.

Despite being apologetic for her part in this, Buhle made it clear that she will not be painted as a psychopath.

The post has since been deleted from Buhle's Instagram account, but a screengrab of it has been doing the rounds on Twitter.
