Chomee dismisses 'depression' rumours

Johannesburg- Chomee has come out strongly to rubbish rumours that she may be suffering from depression following a series of 'dark' social media posts.

Over the past few months the songbird has been sharing a string of emotional posts on social media, which seemed to paint a picture of the struggles she's facing.

Just two weeks ago Chomee took to social media where she detailed the pain, sadness and challenges she's been going through.

While Chomee has never revealed the exact cause of her state of mind, she did hint that it has something to do with her career.

"At times I regret ever entering the industry I'm in. I mean performing is my passion and all. But how could something you love so much bring about so much sadness? I sat at my hospital bed last night, and realised that I have no one, no one was there because I don't have anyone close enough to tell," Chomee wrote at the time. (See that story here

This led fans to believe that the singer may be suffering from depression. However, she has poured cold water over the claims.

Returning to social media Chomee has set the record straight on those claims.

"DEPRESSION:NO, EXHAUSTION: YES. Sometimes that's what happens when you are one of the most booked artist in your stable, who's working on her album and preparing for a DVD shoot. I'm overworked and it's justifiable," she wrote.

Chomee also revealed that she's happily dating someone who makes her very happy and that Arthur's support for his artists is impeccable.

The singer admitted that she's just guilty of overworking and nothing more.

Well, that's good news!
