Confirmed: Pearl Thusi suspended from Metro FM

Johannesburg - Pearl Thusi has been taken off of radio and it could be because of Bonang Matheba.

It's known that Pearl and Bonang just don't get along, with many feeling Pearl uses her Metro FM show with Phat Joe on a Saturday as a vehicle to throw shade at Queen B.

Weekend reports claim that some listeners have become gatvol and have complained to Metro FM about Pearl and Phat Joe's comments, leading to the two being suspended from the station.

Speaking to The Juice, SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago confirmed that the duo have been taken off air, and said that the reason for the decision was a disagreement between Pearl and management.

"There are issues between Pearl Thusi and management at Metro. For that reason they are not being scheduled until they have dealt with the issue between them," Kaizer says.

Kaizer could not confirm that the issue between Pearl and Metro was over Bonang, only saying that the matter was between Metro and Pearl.

When reached for comment, Pearl referred The Juice to the SABC for comment.

Last week a fan on social media asked Bonang when she would be replying to all the shade Pearl constantly throws at her. Bonang replied: "That's like a pair of old leather shoes that I don't even know when or where I bought." Pearl later posted images of herself wearing old leather boots and reading a book on adultery.

In December, Pearl spoke out about Bonang saying that it was a case of hearing stuff that had been said behind her back, and she wouldn't allow herself to be bullied.
