Confusion continues to cloud Okmalumkoolkat "conviction"

Johannesburg - It's all silence and confusion as Mzansi scrambles to find out what exactly happened to Okmalumkoolkat.

The rapper was allegedly jailed in a Tasmanian prison last month after apparently being convicted of sexual assault (more on that here).

The rapper's management rushed to issue a statement in the aftermath of the reports, saying that limited information on the matter was available.

Since then his management has refused to speak on the matter, only telling The Juice that they had no new information and that he would be returning to South Africa.

And it seems even his best friends have been kept out of the information loop.

Talking to DJ Tbo Touch on Metro FM on Tuesday, Okmalumkoolkat's bestie Riky Rick says they have not heard anything about their friends return.

"We've been trying to get hold of him, try get in touch with him, and we haven't. So, it's been difficult for us to speak on his situation," Riky says.

"We haven't been able to email. Nothing. No communication as his boys," he adds. "When he comes back, in a couple of weeks, hopefully he will be the first person to break down what exactly is going on - and the full situation."

As reported earlier by The Juice, Foreign Affairs said it was not aware of any arrest in Tasmania.
