Johannesburg- Sentencing proceedings in the DJ Donald Sebolai murder trial are expected to get underway in the High Court in Palm Ridge on Wednesday morning.
The former Jozi FM presenter was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend, Dolly Tshabalala in their Soweto flat in June 2014.
Donald was also found guilty of obstructing justice, but was acquitted on charges of theft.
The court dismissed the former DJ's claims that he stabbed Dolly in self-defence after the couple had a fight.
At the time, Judge Cassim Moosa told the court that Donald had failed to prove his claims beyond reasonable doubt and that Dolly may have survived if she was rushed to hospital immediately.
Sentencing proceedings were expected to start in November last year, however it was postponed to give both parties more time to gather evidence to be used in the sentencing proceedings.
