Euphonik opens up about new collab with Mi Casa

Johannesburg - When Euphonik jumped in studio with Mi Casa we knew we were guaranteed a hit, what we didn't expect was a song about the friendzone!

Talking The Juice about his new track with Mi Casa,Don't Wanna Be (Your Friend), Euphonik says the track may have come from a personal space.

"When J' wrote the lyrics, I don't know where he was coming from, but he was so inspired. He was probably friendzoned by someone and now he's trying to get out of it," he laughs.

Euphoniks says that working with Mi Casa was "an easy process" and that all they needed to do was find the time to get into the studio together to work their magic.

"I've always liked their vibe, they have a different vibe to what I do, and so what I wanted to do was create a song that has global appeal. A song that is as comfortable on our local charts as it will be on the UK top 100," he says.

So if there ever was a time (or a song) to get out the friendzone, it's now!
