EXCLUSIVE: Lalla and boyfriend split after 5 years!

Johannesburg - Lalla Hirayama and her man Chris Nkosi have undoubtedly become a stalwart couple in the South African entertainment scene. The Vuzu presenter and Chris, who is involved in the Johannesburg night club industry, first began dating 5 years ago. If there's an event in Johannesburg, Lalla and Chris would be there, hand-in-hand.

But their public displays of affections and picture perfect poses were just an illusion it seems. The Juice can exclusively reveal that Lalla has ended her relationship with Chris. Sources close to the couple have confirmed that as much as things seemed rock solid between them, for the last few months nothing could be further from the truth.

"She's been through a lot. It hasn't been an easy journey. After all their challenges, she called it off after hearing about his roving eye," says our source.

In previous interviews, they had spoken of their love for each other and marriage. In fact, when The Juice bumped into the couple a few weeks ago at the H&M launch and approached them with rumours of a split, Lalla looked away uncomfortably and Chris told us that a proposal was going to happen soon. "We're here, so we definitely aren't broken up. The wedding is going to happen. I'm just figuring things out."

Now, less than a month later, both the wedding and the relationship are a thing of the past. "Lalla loved him. Loves him. It's been a difficult time and in some way she put on appearances for the camera. But in her mind, she knew something wasn't right. For the first time, she's really happy again," adds the source.

When contacted for comment, Lalla would only say that it was a "private matter" and she wasn't willing to discuss it any further. The split has been somewhat of a double blow for the TV presenter, who on Monday revealed that her granny had passed away.

My heart ?? The epitome of beauty and grace. My granny. She was everything. Now with the angels RIP

She later thanked her Vuzu family for their support...
