Johannesburg - Judge Solly Sithole on Thursday morning granted bail to convicted murderer, Sindisiwe Manqele. Sindi was on Wednesday found guilty of murdering her then boyfriend, Nkululkeo 'Flabba' Habedi.
The state argued that bail should be opposed, given the severity of the charge against Manqele. However, her legal team said that she has been out in bail in the months leading up to the case and adhered to all of those bail conditions.
It was also revealed that Manqele's father died recently and that she needed to undergo cleansing rituals.
Judge Sithole ruled that she should pay an additional R5 000 on top of the R10 000 paid earlier this year for bail, and ruled that she would not be able to leave her Kempton Park home without prior permission. Sithole also ruled that she be fitted with a monitoring bracelet.
The slain rapper's family left the Randburg Magistrates Court yesterday in tears after the guilty verdict was passed. But rapper Slikour, who was in the Skwatta Kamp group with Flabba told The Juice nothing will bring his friend back. "The verdict was a good sign for our justice system, but at the end of the day we've lost a brother, a father, a son and a friend."
