Johannesburg- Gospel singer Nhlakanipho Cele has been through many struggles over the past few years.
In 2011, Nhlakanipho entered the industry and was living his dream, after his debut album Thema Lami began topping the music charts.
However, things started to crash around shortly after his wife's death, leaving him to care for two small children.
"My wife passed away after a short illness, leaving me with two small children. I was devastated and didn't know where to turn to. I was deeply hurt and everything in my life came to a standstill," Nhlakanipho told Move! magazine.
While he was still trying to deal with his grief, work suddenly became scarce and before he knew it, bills were going unpaid and he lost his mansion and cars.
But he has managed to claw his way back from a series of tragic events.
Nhlakanipho's new album, Isambululo went gold within four months of its release, which has helped him out of his dark time.
"The devil will always challenge everything God gives you...it's part of our lives. It happened to Job. The reason I called this album Isambululo is that everything in the Revelation scripture has come to pass. God is God of restoration. He never just takes, he also restores," he told the mag.
