HHP & Fifi Cooper condemn violence in the North West

Johannesburg- Music heavyweights HHP and Fifi Cooper have lashed out at the violence and vandalism which erupted at the University of North West this week.

There has been a wave of violent outbursts at universities in different provinces this week, which has caused a public outcry.

The University of Free State has been closed until further notice, due to a violent stand off between protesting students and rugby players during a rugby match on Monday afternoon.

Protesting students are fighting for Afrikaans to be dumped as a medium of teaching at the university.

HHP and Fifi, who both grew up in the North West province, have come out strongly against the violence at UNW, where students have set fire and vandalised university property.

"Power is knowing you can, but you DON'T. Fire destroys. It doesn't purify," HHP told his followers.

While, Fifi says that she is still in shock about what's going on in the province.
