Idris Elba apologises to SA fans

Johannesburg - Idris Elba this week became a talking point on South African social media pages after it emerged that he had to cancel a planned trip here.

The Juice exclusively revealed on Monday that Idris was at Heathrow International Airport with his daughter, Isan, when they were told they were unable to travel to SA because she did not have the correct documentation under the new immigration laws.

Idris was meant to visit South Africa to promote his documentary, Mandela, My Dad and Me.

Speaking to us via telecon from London, Idris explained that the film was very much an ode to his father, Winston, who died shortly before the project got underway. "The film is almost like a thank you to him, and his life and what he meant to me." (Read our full interview here)

Well, as an added touch, Idris sent the media this video message, promising to visit soon...
