Cape Town - It was announced on Wednesday that actress Connie Ferguson, who plays the iconic Karabo Moroka on the soap Generations – The Legacy, will be leaving the show.
According to a statement by the show’s publicity manager Gaaratwe Mokhethi, she’ll be moving on to focus on her other ventures. These include running the highly successful Ferguson Films which brought us Rockville and now Igazi.
"It is with great disappointment that we have to announce the departure of the much-loved Karabo Moroka, played by the talented Connie Ferguson. She’s working on a couple of projects that need her undivided attention and has asked to be released from her contract."
Connie will still be appearing on screen for a few more months as her exit scenes haven’t been shot as yet, says Gaaratwe. "Karabo is one character that set tongues wagging and her exit will be no different. Fans need to stay glued to Generations – The Legacy to see how Karabo’s controversial story unfolds."
