Kelly on Senzo: I still feel how he felt in my hands

Johannesburg - Kelly Khumalo says she still finds it difficult to "detach" from her late boyfriend, Senzo Meyiwa.

Talking to Nicky Greenwall on e.tv's The Close Up this week, Kelly says: “It's very hard to detach from that day because someone so significant in my life passed on. Everything happened so fast, but I still have those pictures. I still have his look. I still feel how he felt in my hands you know, it's very hard to detach from that."

It's been over a year since Kelly witnessed the death of Senzo, but the people responsible for his death have yet to face justice. Kelly says she prays that they will soon be found and that justice will be served.

But despite the difficult weeks and months that have followed since the death of Senzo, Kelly remains optimistic about the future and is confident that she can face whatever else is thrown at her.

"I have had a life that I was meant to have. Yes, it seems very hard to onlookers but I don’t think that God would give me such a life if I did not have it in me to actually live it and continue living it,” Kelly says.

To hear more of what Kelly has to say about her life and why she's actually a very shy person, tune into e.tv's The Close Up tonight at 6pm.
