Khanyi Mbau opens up about beating her addictions

Johannesburg - Khanyi Mbau has openly spoken out about how she is a changed person, explaining that material things are not important to her. Known as the Queen of Bling, Khanyi was labelled a gold-digger after making it known that she would only date rich, older men.

Now, in perhaps one of her most revealing interviews yet, Khanyi covers the December issue of True Love.

In the magazine, she details how she couldn't go to sleep without having cough syrup. "I would finish a bottle in two nights. The fear of being a nobody and being dethroned as the Queen of Bling was too overwhelming."

Khanyi speaks out about what she calls the biggest mistake of her life: dating Theunis Crous. "That is still remains my biggest regret. I was so lost and desperate trying to hang on to my fabulous life that I made the biggest mistake."

The TV presenter took to Instagram to thank the publication for telling her story.
