Khuli Chana: Implement self belief at its best

Johannesburg- Rapper Khuli Chana has opened up about the consequences of doubting your self-worth and your craft.

The musician recently shared his personal experience of how doubt held him back in the past.

Khuli's self-reflection was inspired by the recent release of his new single, Respek and the positive reaction towards it from fans.

"With time, I allowed myself to be easily influenced (and thus distracted) by factors on the outside. Not only did this side track me, but I also found myself second guessing a track that I knew was one of my best...Essentially, I slept on myself. When you do this- you even lose track of your OWN potential," he said.

The rapper revealed that he has since made a promise to never doubt himself or his craft ever again.

Wise words!

Here's Khuli's full post...

It's all about choice & perception... How many times have you found yourself in a position where you allowed doubt to affect the decisions that you make ? My experience goes a little something like this; I recorded and dropped the single; ' Respek '. I was happy to see the reaction that most of my fans had towards the track. With time, I allowed myself to be easily influenced (and thus distracted) by factors on the outside. Not only did this side track me, but I also found myself second guessing a track that I knew was one of my best... Essentially, I slept on myself. When you do this- you even lose track of your OWN potential. Too many times we allow ourselves to be too easily influenced by others. Sadly, this can lead to a person losing their craft- or worse, themself. I've since made a promise to myself to implement self belief at it's best. Always. Thank you to all my fans, and to everyone that kept believing... even when I didn't. I'll be dropping the 'lyric' video later on today. You don't want to miss this. #ChanaFam #IsaluteYouGuys #ChanaPower
