K.O: I'm still trying shake off this arrogant complex

Johannesburg - When it comes to rapper K.O, it's best not to judge a book by its cover.

Speaking to Factory 78 while on tour in the UK, K.O reveals that he's always had to fight the perception that he is arrogant and unapproachable.

"I'm still trying to shake off this complex. Ever since I was a kid, people who didn't really know me and who saw me from a distance, the first thing people would say is: 'I don't like him, he's arrogant'. I just didn't get it," he adds.

K.O says he struggled with the complex even when he broke into the industry with Teargas, and wears glasses to hide the fact that he is a very shy person.

Still, he says he would rather be humble than the artists of today who "kiss their own asses."

"I'm not like that. I'm just trying to sell this new humble way of doing things, and just being appreciative of this blessing of music God has given us," he adds.

K.O reveals that, despite the rumours, he holds no beef with fellow rapper Cassper Nyovest and actually wanted Cassper to make peace with AKA.

"The sooner we move past that, the better for everyone. I respect both homies. I have no squabbles with either of them. I just feel like the whole thing was dragged out a bit too long," K.O says.
