Koyo Bala won't be defeated by cancer

Johannesburg- Musician Koyo Bala is determined to win the fight against cancer. 

Koyo was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2013. 

Last year Koyo had to move back home for support as he underwent aggressive chemotherapy. At the time he was also working on an autobiography and new music, which he also had to put on ice. 

The good news is that it's a new year, and Koyo will not let cancer get the better of him. 

Speaking to Daily Sun, Koyo revealed that fans can expect two new singles from him really soon. 

"The music I'm making is about me, my life and the terrible pain I have been through," he told the paper. 

Koyo added that even though his battle against cancer has not been an easy one, he won't let it rule his life. 

"When I'm lying in my bed feeling terrible pain, I tell myself I will wake up in the morning and use my time positively," he added.
