Johannesburg - Lorna Maseko is planning to bring her cooking skills to a TV near you, real soon.
The actress and TV personality launched her very own cooking program last year, after a successful spell on Celebrity Masterchef.
And now she's ready to take the next step in her goal to take over the culinary world by getting her own cooking show.
Talking to The Juice this week, Lorna, who is currently enrolled in a chef school, says she has shot a pilot episode of the show but is pushing for a TV deal.
"Our cooking event has been received really well. The goal is to convert it to a TV show. Obviously not in the same format, but similar," she says.
"I really want it to happen this year. We've done quite a bit, but now we're just waiting on the powers that be,"she adds.
In the meantime, fans can expect to see some Cooking with Lorna merchandise later this year, including aprons and even possibly a cook book!
"Food is so sexy at the moment. People love to talk about it. When you go to a restaurant you can't help but take a picture of your food. It's become a lifestyle, like fashion in a way," she says.
