Johannesburg - We all know that Taylor Swift and Adele are the queens of putting their heartbreaks into their songs, but it seems Mzansi may have their own heartbreak queen: Rebecca 'Ma Ribs' Malope.
Late last year mama Rebecca was the victim of a scam, with hackers using the popular gospel singer's name and cellphone number to try con people out of their money (more on that here).
Rebecca has often spoken out about the distress the hacking caused her, and the artist has this week revealed to Sowetan that she has put the pain of the experience into a gospel song.
"I feel this person is putting my life in danger because he or she is even sending messages to the president of the country asking (for) money on my behalf," she told the paper.
Rebecca, who will this year celebrates 30 years in the music industry, also revealed that she will be releasing a live album and DVD to commemorate the milestone.
She says she plans to collaborate with several artists in the coming months, and hopes to work with the likes of Ntokozo Mbambo and Kelly Khumalo.
A collab between Kelly and Rebecca? We can only imagine the music video!
