Maps' heartfelt tribute to his parents

Johannesburg- Maps Maponyane has taken the time to pay tribute to his parents. 

The TV personality says he's grateful to his parents for allowing him to follow his dreams. 

"Thanks Mom: I've been put under a lot of pressure of the years by my folks to make something of myself. I've had a super strict father as well as an incredibly disciplined mother guiding me through life. They've also allowed me to make a number of my own decisions despite not agreeing but all their sacrifices haven't been in vain because now it's all paying off. Aside from all the media ventures I've pursued (of which they couldn't quite understand)," Maps wrote. 

Aw.we're sure they're super proud Maps with that big Investec gig and all.

An international brand recognised this a while ago and today I was officially announced as the new and first brand ambassador of Investec Private Banking - A dream partnership that I look forward to making the most of. There's a lot to come and this is only the beginning. Here's to continuing to make your dreams come true and making a contribution to the solution of a big South African problem???
