Masasa warns fans about fake Facebook page

Johannesburg- Scandal! actress Masasa Mbangeni has urged people to be aware of a fake Facebook page that's using her name.

Masasa took to Instagram to warn fans that she is not on Facebook, and that fans should not believe anything that the page puts out.

"Please know there is someone who is following me here on Instagram and taking pictures here on Instagram and posting them on Facebook, responding to people as if they are me. This is confusing and very hurtful. I am not on Facebook. And feel so exposed and vulnerable as a result of this," Masasa said.

The culprit behind the page has been stealing snaps from her Instagram account, and loading them onto Facebook with dodgy status updates.

The actress added that the entire ordeal is scary, and has asked her followers to report the page.

"I repeat I am not on Facebook nor do I have fan page there. If this person has said anything to you please know it is not me. Thank you.THIS IS NOT MY PAGE. I don't refer to people who consume my work as fans. I don't get that worldview. Im not against it but i certainly dont subscribe to it! THIS IS NOT MY PAGE. Report it," she added.
