Muvhango gets a new Pheko- but it ain't Rapulana

Johannesburg- It's official! Muvhango fans can soon look forward to the return of the much loved character, Pheko.

Pheko, who was previously played by Generations: The Legacy actor Rapulana Seiphemo, will be returning to the soapie with a fresh new face.

Talking to The Juice this week, Muvhango publicist Lebo Malete confirmed that Pheko will be brought back into the soapie's storyline in a few weeks time, with relative newcomer, Palo Mokoailane, taking up the role.

Lebo says that the soapie had wished to bring back Rapulana, but rumours that they had approached him to return prior to his accident were not true.

"We would have loved for him to return to his role, but he is a lead character on Generations: The Legacy and it is not possible for him to return. We didn't have any discussions with him about returning, even before his accident." Lebo says.

Lebo says that the soapie cast Palo after several auditions for the role, and that they found him to be the best fit...and not just because he kind of looks like Rapulana.
