No, Kevin Hart wasn't mugged in Durban!

Johannesburg - Oh, dear. Did you hear the rumour that Kevin Hart got mugged while in Durban?

Well, good news: It turns out (like talks of a Bongo Maffin reunion) the rumours are just not true!

The US comedian is currently touring Mzansi as part of his What Now? tour and has been all over the country, taking in the sights and sounds of our beautiful land.

And he's had a bucket-list full of amazing experiences in South Africa over the last few days, and luckily, being mugged was not one of them.

"I wasn't mugged in Durban. I had the best time there," Kevin reassured the media at a press conference in Johannesburg on Tuesday. "So this thing about me being mugged is media being media."

But that's not all Kevin had to say. The funnyman wanted to remind us how great Trevor Noah is.

"You as South Africans must be very proud of Trevor Noah. He came to the USA and didn't care what America expected him to be," Kevin says. I’m a fan of people who make history, and Trevor is making history in his own right. You’ll never hear any negative response from me about a man who puts his blood, sweat and tears into making his craft work and can show results.

"'Trevor Noah is proud of where he comes from and makes sure everybody knows. I will always have love and respect for him for that," he added.

So, next time you want to diss Trevor Noah, just don't!
