Nonhle Thema shares special mommy moment

Johannesburg - Back in the day Nonhle Themba was making headlines for all the wrong reasons, but these days she has turned her life around, saying that her mom's prayers and turning to God helped her.

"I was very suicidal. I had people encouraging my death. Thank goodness my mom was there for me.  If I didn't have her spiritual belief, I don't know where I'd be today," she said of her public meltdown in 2011.

Now, Nonhle spends her days focussing on her career as an actress and being a mom to her daughter, Star Phoenix.

Taking a picture with her mini-me, Nonhle writes: "Sometimes we think we are here to protect our kids as parents... but in actual fact they are here on earth to protect us... from ourselves."

Good morning. .so my daughter has started calling me by my name ...she always says mom but now she's like Nonhle.cos she hears others calling my name. ..hmmmmm not sure how I feel about this...
