Johannesburg- TV personality Ntombi Mzolo is beyond grateful for the overwhelming support she's received during this difficult time.
Ntombi's one-week-old son was diagnosed with a rare heart condition called Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. This rare heart condition occurs when the left side of the heart isn't developed fully and can't pump blood properly to the rest of the body.
On Monday morning Ntombi's son underwent heart surgery, which is known to have a very low success rate. It's believed that only 2/10 babies are known to survive after the surgery.
Even though the next month is crucial for Ntombi's son, he is doing well and doctors are happy with the way the surgery went. (Read more on that here)
One person who has been by Ntombi's side is her close friend, DJ Zinhle.
Taking to social media, Ntombi thanked Zinhle for being a pillar of strength to her.
"I remember you were right there in the doctors rooms holding my hand when #MiracleBabyMzolo was diagnosed. I seriously don't know how I would have survived that day if you were not there. There are no words to describe the love I have for you," Ntombi wrote.
