Ntombi Mzolo reflects on her pain

Johannesburg- It's been one month since Shikisha presenter, Ntombi Mzolo's newborn baby passed away from a rare heart condition.

Ntombi's son was diagnosed with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which means that the left side of the heart is not developed properly, and cannot pump blood effectively to the rest of the body.

At the time, doctors advised Ntombi to terminate the pregnancy but that was not even an option for her.

Ntombi carried her son to full term and gave birth to him on 23 November.

Her 'miracle baby' underwent two heart surgeries in an attempt to save his life.

Four days before Christmas, on 21 December, Ntombi took to Instagram to share the sad news that her miracle baby took his last breath.

Ntombi is this month's cover star of Mamas&Papas magazine, which made her reflect on how much she misses her son.

"It's been a really long journey and this just reminded me of how much I miss my son #Dunamis," she wrote.
