Johannesburg- Generations: The Legacy actor Rapulana Seiphemo is well on his way to recovery, following a fatal accident on the N14 near Diepsloot.
The car crash claimed the lives of three people when two vehicles collided. Critically injured passengers, including Rapulana, were airlifted to hospital.
The actor, who is known for playing Tau Mogale, has been receiving treatment at the Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg.
On Monday evening Rapulana underwent surgery with doctors giving his family positive feedback.
Speaking to Destiny magazine on Friday afternoon, Rapulana's family spokesman Mduduzi Sikhakhane said that the actor is doing much better since the surgery on Monday.
"He is getting so much better and is now talking. We are all relieved. The family does not know when he will be discharged," Mduduzi.
Generations creator Mfundi Vundla also told the mag that when he and his wife visited the actor earlier this week, Rapulana recognised them and squeezed his wife's hand to acknowledge their presence.
Meanwhile, police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
