The SABC issued the following statement:
"Rapulana Seiphemo, the actor who plays Tau Mogale has unfortunately been in an accident. He is however recovering in a Johannesburg hospital. We would like to request that we all afford the family space to deal with the trauma, Rapulana is a fighter, he'll definitely pull through."
Meanwhile, it has been reported that family members at the hospital are still waiting for feedback from doctors about Rapulana's condition.
