Reports: Afrikan Roots musos survive horror car crash!

Johannesburg - Several members of popular Afro-house group, Afrikan Roots, have reportedly been left with serious head and body injuries after surviving a horrific car crash over the weekend.

According to Sowetan, the group was travelling to a show in Botswana on Friday when their car rolled four times, leaving several members of the group seriously injured and the car and trailer they were travelling with, a complete write off.

Speaking from his hospital bed in Botswana, the group's founding member, Kenneth "Nyekx" Manyemula told the paper that the vehicle was some 850km from Gaborone when it was hit by a strong wind which pushed the trailer and caused the car to roll.

"Some of us escaped through the windows. We were rushed to a nearby hospital," he said.

Kenneth confirmed that member Mercedes Boshego had broken his hand, Bongumusa "Mosco" Mmotsa had sustained several wounds, and that he and Katlego "Maspila" Mabasa had both sustained head injuries.

But it seems the group's misfortune has not broken their resolve.

They took to Facebook on Monday to thank fans for their support and share this simple message: "No one has the power to stop us...... God is on our side...."

It seems you can't keep a good group down.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, guys.
