Johannesburg - Gospel star, Sechaba Pali, is recovering in hospital after a horror hijacking ordeal over the weekend.
Sechana says he is lucky to have escaped with his life after he was hit over the head, tied up and left in a ditch to die.
Talking to Daily Sun from his hospital bed on Wednesday, Sechaba says he was on his way home from a show on Sunday evening when he stopped to help two women hitchhikers in Hammanskraal.
The next thing he knew he felt a hard hit on the back of the head, and he woke up dazed and in a ditch.
"I believe they knocked me out and tossed me onto a wet bush. My hands and legs were tied up and my mouth was gagged," he tells the paper.
"I felt very dizzy and weak. I stood up and forced myself to move until I found somewhere I could get help."
Police confirm that a case has been opened, but no arrests have been made yet.
