Reports: Shumaya hitmaker snubbed at Metros

Johannebsurg - Next time you use your pocket money to buy a ticket to watch Dbn Nyt's perform Shumaya, you might just find yourself feeling a little shortchanged.

Especially if vocalist Zinhle Ngidi is serious about her apparent threat to boycott the group's performances in the future.

According to Daily Sun, Zinhle was left feeling humiliated after she was given the cold shoulder by the band at the Metro FM awards last weekend.

The paper claims that Zinhle was not even given a ticket to the event, and had to spend the night in a dressing room after her performance with the group.

To make matters worse, Zinhle was once again snubbed when the group took to the stage to collect their award for Best Duo/Group. Instead of celebrating the award with the group, Zinhle apparently had to stand behind them and watch over their shoulders as they gave their acceptance speeches.

“I went on stage with them and held their hands but they pushed my hand away,” she is quoted in the paper as saying.

A heartbroken and angry Zinhle took to social media a short while later to open about the snub.

In the post Zinhle revealed that she had cancelled two shows to be at the awards with the artists.

The group's management, Kalawa Jazmee have assured fans that they will deal with the matter.

But if it isn't dealt with, Zinhle, you can always join our new group Jozi Dayz! You in, Zinhle?
