Reports: TV host accused of torture over stolen generator

Johannesburg -  Zandi Nhlapo could soon find herself in hot water.

This, after the TV personality was accused of kidnapping and torturing a family member after the man apparently stole a generator from her house during renovations.

According to Sowetan, Zandi and two others assaulted her cousin, M'fiso Nhlapo after he admitted to stealing her generator.

The trio apparently beat him and then dragged him behind a car until he passed out. M'fiso also claims that he had his private parts squeezed with a lock and beaten with a hose pipe. He says he was also tied to a tree until he was able to escape when the two men were given R100 to buy alcohol.

He was rushed to Lilian Ngoyi hospital where he says they came to him to apologise and ask him to drop charges against them.

Police spokesperson, Thuli Ngwenya has confirmed to The Juice that a case of assault has been opened against Zandi and two others at the Orlando Police Station and that investigations are underway. However, Zandi has denied the allegations saying that she doesn't know about the incident.

"It sounds like movie stuff. I don't know what you talking about," she told the paper.
