Reports: Vusi Nova faces fraud charges

Johannesburg- Sunday World is reporting that Afro-pop musician Vusi Nova could face jail time after allegedly being arrested on fraud charges.

According to the paper, Vusi has allegedly been accused of fraudulently swindling his late business partner, Leon Kruger of close to R1 million.

The case was apparently opened against Vusi and his co-accused Dr Joseph Safra by Leon's widow, Catharina.

When contacted for comment by the paper, Vusi said that he was aware of the case but his lawyers would comment on his behalf.

"The matter is still in front of the court, I can't comment until the outcome of the case," Catharina told the paper.

Norwood police spokesperson Doniah Mothutsane confirmed that a case of fraud had been opened at the station and that Vusi Nova and Safra will appear in court next month.
