Tamar Braxton cancels SA trip

Johannesburg - After weeks of speculation, Tamar Braxton has withdrawn from her trip to South Africa next month.

Tamar was announced as a headline act for the upcoming BET Experience next month, but after being hospitalised with blood clots in her lungs (more on that here), fans were unsure whether she would make the trip.

At the time, Tamar cancelled her entire US tour, but she remained on the bill for the BET Experience.

On Friday the show's organisers announced that Tamar will no longer be making the trip to Mzansi.

"Tamar Braxon will be unable to attend the BET Experience Africa owing to ill health. BET & Glen 21 apologise for any disappointment caused, but we know that Tamar’s fans will recognise the importance of giving her the space and time to return to full health," a statement read.
