The Soil calls on you to audition for Buhle's place

Johannesburg - The Soil are looking for a replacement for Buhle Mda, after it was announced that she would be leaving the group after she received the ancestral calling.

"As Africans, at times we have to answer to greater beings than ourselves. Hence I will be taking some time out to concentrate on my own ancestral callings. So, from March 2016 I will be absent from all performances with The Soil," Buhle said in a video posted to the group's Facebook page in January.

Now the group has explained that it is business as usual and they are appealing to fans to send through videos of them signing. After that, the submissions will be narrowed down and there will be live auditions.

The group says it is supportive of Buhle. "We've known her all our lives. She'll be away for a few months. We are looking forward to getting back to studio."
