Johannesburg- Naija singer Tiwa Savage was overcome with emotion during a visit to Door of Hope orphanage for abandoned babies in Glenvista, Johannesburg.
Tiwa, who has been in the country for the past week, couldn't hold back tears when she spent some time with the babies at Door of Hope.
"I don't even know when I started crying uncontrollably. These babies are so, so beautiful, I can't imagine how much hardship and pain these mothers must have gone through to make such a difficult decision. I also thought of where these little ones would end up if no one adopts them. I feel in love with their little souls, just watched some them sleeping with their little hearts beating," Tiwa wrote on social media.
Door of Hope opened its doors in 1999 by pastor Cheryl Allen after more and more newborn babies were being dumped. The home rescues babies from places like bins and even came up with the concept of a 'baby bin', which is a hole in the wall where mothers can leave their babies any time of the day or night.
The home takes care of the babies and children while trying to find them a 'forever home.'
