Johannesburg - Rapper Tumi Molekane has squashed rumours of a supposed feud between himself and Riky Rick.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the Tumi and the Volume rapper addressed rumours that he was fighting with the Boss Zonke artist, saying that there no "beef" between them.
It seems there was some concern with Tumi's "where is Riky Rick" line on the DJ Switch track, Way it Go.
"Now let me make something clear, I don't have a problem with Riky Rick as a rapper or a person. This is not a diss. I have actually spoken to dude about this and as far as I know, we good, Tumi says.
"I did not diss homie on Way It Go. I was saying that people keep asking me what happened with Riky and what numbers my records are selling and what car I am driving and why I would make Hello Kitty. If you think that was a diss to him you misinterpreted the lyrics," he adds.
He goes on to explain how he wants to clear the air, especially after Riky dropped bars which seemed to respond to Tumi's verses.
"There will be no comeback track from me cuz that will just make me look like I am further riding on his name and let's be honest here folks, a rap battle with Riky Rick isn't my idea of time well spent (and I mean this with as much respect as your diss deserves)," Tumi wrote.
"So, my official standpoint on this is God bless you and I wish you much more success than you are currently seeing. You have always been dope to me and you deserve shine. Your grind is inspiring and I wouldn't have staked my money on it if I didn't believe that. Thanks for the plaque, but you didn't have to give me credit for what I didn't do, I don't need the look. Love T. Always Love. (P.S we should be together too)," he added.
