Twitter weeps over YFM breakfast show ending

Johannesburg - It may be the start of the Easter weekend but no one could help the sad cloud hanging over Mzansi on Thursday morning.

You see, while we were packing the car and getting ready for our weekend away, the breakfast team on YFM were bringing everyone to tears with their last show on air.

The team's final bow was filled with tributes from fans and celebs alike, including calls from DJ Shimza, Dineo Moeketsi and even the big dawg himself (radio legend and former YFM breakfast DJ) DJ Fresh.

After news of DJ Ankletap and Mantsoe Pout's departure broke recently, we knew saying goodbye to the trio would be the hardest part of our week.

But it seems our sadness was shared with hundreds across the country who took to Twitter to say their goodbyes to the team, making it one of the most talked about topics

You gave us your love, we gave you RADIO!!! #RNTLive #Served Thank you @phindiziqubu for being such an awesome friend and the dopest Producer EVER!!! It's no wonder we call you BOSSLADY!! You have dealt with Tap and I's moods with grace ???? I love you! @djankletap NO WORDS will EVER fully express what you mean to me. You truly are my soulmate ?? doing radio with you for the past 8 years has been a joy!! We took our bond as far as even living together for 2 years to make our chemistry and realness work. You have changed my life forever! And if I could do this radio thing with someone again, it would definitely be with you. Your talent is contagious and your ability to make me laugh EVERY SINGLE DAY is special. I love you to the end of time. "Ke tshwere stocko sa Lekgowa" ????
