Johannesburg - As Boss Zonke, Riky Rick is used to running these streets.
But when the tide turned and Twitter came for poor Riky over the price of his vests, and then over his maths skills, it left the rapper feeling frustrated.
As his name filled the trends list (more on that here), he called one of his best mates, Stilo Magolide, for some advice.
"He was bugging out because Twitter was going crazy about his shirts being so expensive and not about the (Metro FM Awards). He was like 'OMG these mother f*cker don't get it,'"Stilo remembers.
Stilo then gave Riky some real advice.
"'I was like my n*gger regardless of how you cut it, you still cutting and you still cooking- and that's the power. No one will understand that,'" Stilo says.
