Why Denise Zimba walked away from being a reality TV star

Johannesburg - So you think being a reality star is glamourous, hey? Well, sit down because Denise Zimba wants to have a word.

There was a time when Denise was at a crossroad. Go the road of Kim K and become a massive reality star? or decided to invest her energy into other projects? Thank goodness she chose the later!

You might not know this, but back in 2013 Denise Zimba was part of an all-girls group called Fly Chix. The group was determined to make it big and even scored their own reality show on Vuzu!

So, where did it all go wrong?

Fans have been debating that for years. But talking to Slikour recently, Denise decided to come clean about the show and why it failed.

"We wish we could have showed the drama that was happening and we wished they could have shown the realness of what was happening but that didn't happen," Denise says.

Admitting that the show was a little plastic, she says that the lavish lifestyles the show projected were not real and that her reality was far more scary, as she battled to make ends meet.

"A lot of people didn't know that I was living my car for the three months that I was shooting the show," she says.

Denise reveals that the Spice Girls-inspired concept for the show was her original idea but that she had to walk away after seeing what it had become. How sad?
