America is not amused by Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues’ #StopTheKnot campaign


Cape Town – Earlier this week Channel24 reported on a video released by Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues.

In the video the comedic duo took to the streets of Cape Town and gave what they call "drive-by haircuts" to random strangers in public.

Nic Smal and Gareth Allison chopped off the locks of unsuspecting men whose hair was styled in a certain way – the ‘top knot'.

South Africans seemed very nonchalant about the video and most thought it to be hilarious, however, when American entertainment website Buzzfeed shared the video, America was not amused!

Although a spokesperson for Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues assured Channel24 the video was not staged, there is still some speculation that it could in fact be a hoax and is not real.
