Cape Town – Those following the wildly popular American TV show Duck Dynasty was recently surprised to hear South Africa mentioned during an episode.
It all started when Willie Robertson got a special package all the way from SA.
What was in the package? A lekker local favourite that we call biltong.
When asked what biltong is, Willie replied; "African jerky".
The Duck Dynasty star went on to tell us how he feels about our delicious cured meat:
"Biltong is the land of the great meat – wildebeest, kudu, springbok, gemsbok."
"Biltong is delicious."
"Biltong is pungent."
"Biltong is exotic."
"And biltong is really really fun to say……BILTOOOONG."
