Cape Town – Cape Town photographer Nardus Engelbrecht bagged gold at the National Arts Festival/BASA Arts Journalism Awards on Monday for his work published exclusively on Channel24.
Engelbrecht is a regular contributor on Channel24, South Africa’s largest entertainment news website, and shot exclusive projects for the website which landed him gold in the category for best still photography.
The work entered included photos published in the Channel24 photo series “Behind the Curtain” in which Engelbrecht shot theatre and ballet productions from backstage giving readers a rare perspective from behind-the-scenes.
